Join us this Wednesday, April 22nd, for From Idea to Presentation, to learn how to craft your presentation narrative and slide deck and gain the confidence and skills to deliver presentations with confidence. Â
By the end of this workshop, you will know how to: - Create presentations that are clear, memorable, and visually powerful
- Tell stories that connect with your audience — whether you have 3 minutes or 30
- Design slide decks that reinforce your message instead of distracting from itÂ
Don't wait! Register by Tuesday, 11PM Eastern (US) to join us.

| Start With Why Â
Many technical presentations fail to engage listeners because they start with "how" instead of "why." If don’t immediately understand the impact, audiences stop listening — even if the technical work is solid. Your audience wants to know WHY you are telling them this thing and WHY they should care.
Hook your audience by setting the stage with the problem you faced. Explain to the audience why you are discussing this topic and why it matters to them. THEN explain how you did the project and resolved the situation. |
| ‍Quick Skill Upgrade: Lead With Impact Before you begin creating your presentation, answer this question:
“What changes if the audience understands what I am talking about before I dig into the main part of my presentation?” Â
Then structure your presentation like this: - Problem = The scenario
- Impact = Why this matters now
- Evidence = What you did / what you found
- Next Steps = What happens next/Call to action
This works for any presentation type and for all audiences. Give it a try and let us know how it went for you! |
| ‍Template: The Three-Slide Deck To develop an impactful presentation, use this format to check your story. Â
Slide 1: Impact - What problem/opportunity does this address?
- Who does it affect?Â
Slide 2: Evidence - Key data points or decisions
- What changed?Â
Slide 3: Next Steps - What you need from the audience
- What’s coming next
If you can’t summarize your work this way, the presentation isn’t ready yet. If you’re not sure how to get started, join us for our Storytelling workshop, From Idea to Presentation, where we’ll dig into story frameworks and how to put it all together for the most impact. |
| ‍Challenge for the Week Take an upcoming presentation or work status update and rewrite the opening using the Impact → Evidence → Next Steps template structure. Â
Was it hard? Did you learn something new about the topic as you rewrote the content? |
